1 (One) Year Contract
The primary purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive support for research, program, and administrative activities within the FEM Education Foundation, supporting the FEMEF Manager. This includes assisting with research projects, managing information and knowledge, planning and organising meetings and events, and supporting the preparation of key documents. The role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and successful implementation of the Foundation’s programs and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research & Evaluation: Conduct data synthesis, monitor funded projects, and assist in external evaluations.
- Knowledge Management: Ensure records and historical documents are up to date and accessible.
- Event & Meeting Support: Plan and organise meetings, workshops, and events efficiently.
- Document Preparation: Draft reports, proposals, and key program documentation.
- Partner Communication: Manage correspondence with FEMEF-funded partners to maintain clarity and consistency.
- General Coordination: Support the FEMEF Manager with broader program-related activities.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education:
- Honors Degree in Social Development, Community Development, or Development Studies (Master’s degree preferred), or studying towards a relevant post graduate qualification,
- Experience:
- At least 3 years of experience in research, NGO projects (preferably in education), or related fields such as education.
- Proven organisational, communication, and project coordination skills.
- Familiarity with information management tools and systems.
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E) will be an asset.
- Additional:
- A valid driver’s license.

This position will be based at the FEM Head office in Rosebank as well as the Shine office in Petervale. There will be some travel around SA from time to time. We are open to flexible working hours, depending on the candidate. The position will be offered initially as a one year contract.
In exchange for the candidate’s successful services, FEMEF/Shine offers a competitive total cost to company remuneration.
